Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

Why did you start Rainbow King Foods?
We began RAINBØW KING™ FOODS as a way to share Wisconsin-produced products nationwide. By partnering with regional producers, we work together to bring delicious products to every American.
Our name pays homage to rainbow trout, an exotic species of river trout. For ecological reasons, we chose to source fish from sustainable farms in the Midwest. The raising of fish in freshwater ponds allows for high levels of minerals that foster healthy development. As a result, Rainbow "King" trout grow to market size ahead of schedule, exhibit radiant color and have a robust flavor. Our aim is to expand the distribution of this special species so that a larger audience can enjoy rainbow trout.
Where do you ship?
We ship throughout the United States except for Alaska and Hawaii.
How long does shipping take?
All boxes can be expected to arrive within 2-3 days from when they leave our fulfillment center. Once your order is placed, boxes will typically ship the next day. We ship all boxes that contain perishable items with cold packs to retain a frozen temperature in transit. Boxes are sent via USPS Priority Mail® or UPS 2nd Day Air®. No signature is required for delivery.
How will my trout be shipped?
Smoked trout spread will arrive frozen. Smoked fish fillets arrive 38 degrees F. or below. The product is packed in an insulated box with ice packs and delivered to your door in a 100% recyclable box designed to keep the trout at optimal freshness. The box will be marked “perishable” and dry ice will be used if necessary. Our fillets are vacuum sealed in airtight cryovac packages to ensure freshness and a long shelf life in your freezer.
Do I need to be around the day my shipment arrives?
No, you do not need to be home to sign for your package. But, you should plan to unpack it and store it in your freezer as soon as possible. We’ll send you an email and a text message when the package arrives at your door.
Am I able to track my delivery?
Yes, we send delivery status updates through email and/or text message.

When will my credit card be charged?
Your card will be charged approximately one hour after the order is completed at checkout. You can modify or cancel your order within 12 hours of placing it. Any changes needed after that time can be requested by contacting Customer Care at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to accommodate all requests
Is my credit card secure?

Where does Rainbow King source their products from?
Our products are sourced from small independent family farms in Minnesota and Wisconsin. We have developed relationships with producers who share our values and standards of the highest quality. Because we take care of marketing and logistics, they can focus on what they do best - caring for the animals in a way that is beneficial to the land and environment.
Is your seafood wild-caught?
Our products come from 100% sustainable freshwater sources that recreate the wild habitat of the rainbow trout. Rather than depend on wild fishing, which is detrimental to the environment, our sustainably sourced trout help minimize environmental impact and maximize quality.
How often do you typically restock?
We work with each farm to ensure that we receive their products as soon as they become available. The size of each farm and their processing schedule will determine how quickly we receive their products. How is their Rainbow Trout smoked?
Our Rainbow “King” trout is artisan smoked. It’s cured by hand before being expertly smoked over fragrant hickory woods. The entire process takes place in our top-secret Amish-grade smokers. True story.
What is the diet and nutrition of the fish?
The fish dine on a premium metabolically-activated feed. The high-energy feed undergoes clinical Research & Biotechnology trials at the Skretting Aquaculture Research Centre (ARC) in Norway. This type of feed helps the fish store more fat in muscle, resulting in larger fillets and an increase in healthy marine fatty acids EPA and DHA, thereby passing the benefits on to the consumer.
